Wayward Winds were founded on the philosophy of looking at the world from a higher perspective and navigating life above the everyday fray. The Wayward Winds inspiration came from two people who shared that philosophy.
Paul “Butch” Clark and Judy Browning Clark lived their lives to the fullest. Butch was diagnosed with early onset Parkinson’s Disease at the age of 48 and struggled with the disease until he passed at age 75.
Even in the face of a certain gradual death, he never gave up looking at it all from a higher perspective.
Judy, was a kind, gentle, and beautiful soul who had a strong faith in the direction of the universe. She developed acute myeloid leukemia and passed at age 75.
The Wayward Winds is dedicated to the spirits of these two beautiful souls.
The logo, designed by Jonathan Clark, is a constant reminder to find balance and slow it down. It’s a navigational aid to help find your way in life. The logo is tilted 23.5 degrees much like the tilt of the earth on its axis. There is also a “Yin/Yang” feature to the logo which represents the balance of everything.
Our goal is to spread this message of balance to the world through sales of apparel and licensing of our logo. We’ll donate a portion of what we make to worthy charities.
Sincerely,
David
